Taking a long road trip? In a hurry? Stop at your nearest McDonalds and order one the low carb choices off the menu below!
McDonald’s is usually not a place I would recommend for the keto diet, but sometimes being on road can cause repeated fast food stops, and chances are you’ll eventually wind up at a McDonalds.
When ordering keto, you can order any type of burger they offer as long as you remove the bun. This will leave you with just the burger patty, cheese, and veggie toppings. This combination makes a suitable low carb keto meal.
Even though I don’t have the exact carb amount on the bunless burgers, it should be around 1 to 5 grams depending on how many beef patties or cheese slices you order. Also, order with no ketchup to avoid carbs and sugars.
If your craving breakfast, ordering eggs and a sausage patty is a great choice. Adding a coffee to that meal tops it off!
McDonald’s also offers tasty salads that include bacon and grilled chicken. Not bad for a cheap fast food place.
