Nothing beats a batch of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. The smell of the baked dough with the melty chocolate chips is one of my favorite guilty treats.
But unfortunately, the normal storebought cookies contain massive amounts of sugar and carbs which is a big no-no for us keto dieters.
Of course, you can bet that cookie will taste amazing at the moment, but the way you feel after sometimes can wreck your day.
That is why I’m happy to introduce Quest Protein Cookies!
No longer feel the guilt when trying to curb that sweet tooth with this low sugar, low carb treat.
In this review, we’ll cover the ingredients, how well these taste, and where to purchase.
How Do These Quest Chocolate Chip Cookies Taste?
When you first bite into a Quest Cookie, you notice the texture stands out over other low carb cookie brands.
These are soft baked and chewy so expect no crumble or mess.
When it comes to cookie flavors, you can choose from 7 different kinds.
Chocolate Peanut Butter
Double Chocolate Chip
My favorite is the Chocolate Chip but you can’t go wrong with any of these flavors.
A little “hack” you can try is to heat the cookie up for 15 seconds in the microwave. Then pour yourself a glass of cold almond milk and dunk the warm cookie in there. This combination tastes absolutely amazing!
Now back to the taste. When it comes to how sweet these are, it has a natural type of sweetness that’s not overpowering. This is likely due to the chocolate chip flavor having less than 1 gram of sugar. But the cookie is sweetened with natural keto friendly sweeteners like Erythritol and Stevia to help balance out the sweetness.
When Should I Eat Quest Chocolate Chip Cookies?
This cookie is created for people following a low carb keto diet, so it’s perfect to have as a snack or dessert.
Each cookie is produced in its own little package so it makes it a convenient protein snack to travel with on-the-go. Also great to use as a pre or post workout snack. These are called “Quest Protein Cookies” for a reason so make sure to take advantage of the high protein macros.
Even though these cookies are considered a “healthy” alternative choice to the real thing, I still recommend eating in moderation.
What are the Benefits?
Some of the best features this cookie offers are the high protein and low carb macros. Each cookie is also gluten free and soy free, making it more accessible with people with allergies.
When it comes to the ingredients, Quest Cookies are made with Unsweetened Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Peanuts and Natural Flavors.
Now looking at the carbs, the chocolate chip flavor contains only 4g net carbs. That’s pretty remarkable considering this is a cookie.
How did we achieve the 4g net carb number?
Take 19g of Carbs – 9g of Fiber – 6g of Erythritol = 4g Net Carbs. Pretty awesome!
There is also 9g of fiber in this cookie to help feed the gut bacteria keeping the gut happy and healthy.
What about the protein?
Well, there is 15g of protein in one cookie that is made from a protein blend containing milk protein isolate and whey protein isolate. This along with the 17g of fat will keep you satiated for hours.
What are the Negatives?
Across the Amazon reviews, most people that left a negative review agreed on these producing a bad aftertaste. Some people also ended up with an overly “dry” cookie. This could be due to the cookie being old or the manufacturer using too much protein powder.
Even though these could be major factors in your purchasing decision, I still think the benefits outweigh the negatives.
Where to Buy Quest Chocolate Chip Cookies?
You can find these at your local GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, and Wholefoods stores. If you don’t feel like driving anywhere, you can find all 7 flavors for sale on Amazon.
With over 1800 reviews and the “Best Seller” tag, I highly recommend giving these a try.
