Do you like juicing vegetables but hate cleaning up the mess?
Then I recommend V8 Vegetable Juice. A convenient alternative to vegetable juicing with all of the same awesome benefits.
It’s as simple as opening a can of soda, and it’s 100% Vegetable Juice.
But is it keto friendly?
Let’s find out!
What are the Ingredients?
What are the Flavors?
V8 comes in 2 flavors, Original and Spicy Hot. I prefer the original over the spicy hot but if you’re into spicy wings or peppers, give the “Spicy Hot” a try.
How Does V8 Vegetable Juice Taste?
I personally love the taste of V8 Vegetable Juice. It reminds me of tomato soup or a good ole bloody mary.
It’s best to drink these when they are cold. Its quite refreshing and definitely quenches my thirst.
If you’re a fan of eating vegetables and enjoy a bowl of tomato soup every now and then, this is your go-to beverage.
What are the Benefits of V8 Vegetable Juice?
Juicing real vegetables is always going to be the most healthy and natural route to go, but it can require a lot of time preparing and cleaning.
Also, the cost of vegetables can be quite expensive especially when purchasing organic.
Here you have a beverage that is premade with two full servings of vitamin & antioxidant-packed vegetables like Tomatoes, Carrots, Celery Beets, Parsley, Lettuce, Watercress, and Spinach.
Juicing is also easier on the body which can give your digestive system a rest from real food.
When Should I Consume V8 Vegetable Juice?
V8 can be consumed whenever you feel like it. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even those mid-day snacks, it’s always nice knowing your getting in your daily servings of veggies.
I recommend consuming these right away in the morning. Getting a “Veggie Shot” is the perfect way to start the day. I’ve had these in the morning and I always feel less inflammation and more clear-headed ready to take on the day.
Also great to have after a big workout to help with recovery.
Is V8 Vegetable Juice Keto Friendly?
When looking at the nutrition label, you will see 13 grams of carbs, 2g of fiber, and 10g of sugar.
The 10 grams of sugar might scare us low carb keto dieters away thinking it doesn’t fit the keto bill, but 10 grams a day will not kick you out of ketosis.
Especially if you’re in deep ketosis, you will have a hard time kicking your self out with only 10 or 20 grams of natural sugar.
Most of the sugar is coming from the Tomatoes which in small doses is keto tolerant.
Just make sure to stick to a couple of cans of day. This will ensure you stay in Ketosis while reaping in all of the added benefits.
